After Obama's win, white backlash festers in US

But for nonviolent secessionist groups like the League of the South, the hope is for a more vigorous debate about the direction of the US and the South's role in it, says Michael Tuggle, a League blogger in North Carolina.
Mr. Tuggle says his group isn't looking for an 1860-style secession but, rather, a model that Spain, for one, is moving toward, in which "there's a great deal of autonomy for constituent regions" – a foil to what is seen as unchecked, dangerous federal power in Washington.
"To a lot of people, the idea of secession doesn't seem so crazy anymore," says Tuggle. "People are talking about how left out they feel, ... and they feel that something strange and radical has taken over our country."

Isn't racism and ignorance a wonderful thing? Examples you've pointed out show just how much further our country needs to go in education and the teaching of tolerance.
lol this article stretches pretty far for these examples of racism mox. they werent widespread, rather isolated in fact. i live in raleigh nc, and what was written in the free speech tunnel was not racially charged, it was politically charged, unfortunatly that divide has been blurred.
i do agree that they are whiny babies though.
Your post uses too many naughty words. Even after the left successfully steals the election and looks set to control 60 seats in the Senate, you people are still angry for some reason. It’s as if being in the majority is making your whole world crumble around you. You can no longer claim victim status and this is why you lash out at real America.

Hi there. I've been hanging out at the liberal anti-housing blogs lately. They don't seem to grasp that the current economic crisis was caused by a lack of prayer and blogs talking down the economy.
I also have some sad news. Mittens passed on earlier this month. I tried to shield him, but he caught me watching Fox News and fell ill when he learned that the liberals routed God’s Own Party. The vet said he died of a broken heart. I’m not going to pay the vet, because he didn’t save the finest cat that ever lived.
I am so sorry about Mittens. And I wouldn't pay the vet either.

Perhaps he can at least grow a conscience though alas there is little hope of justice. Justice could come by Barack Obama signing off on the International Court of Human Rights and offering up Bush and Cheney for fair trial.
That scenario is not likely to be coming soon. But at the very least we can go, everyone of us, to http://www.georgew.com and let George W. Bush know that the whole world has watched as he has brought shame and destruction down on humanity.
