I've been keeping a safe distance from politics, enjoying the peace that ignorance offers, but every now and then something comes up that makes me shake my head. Here's what's getting me right now.
Obama recently spoke of maintaining your car with regular tune ups and keeping the tires inflated per specs which would help save gas and money. Apparently this has caused much hilarity and mockery among the GOP.

It's funny when Obama tells people to start taking personal resposibility for easing the sting at the pump by properly maintaining their vehicles.
It's funny because the GOP, only talks about shit like personal responsibility when it involves tax dollars going to social programs and the poor. Then you hear the stupid fucking bootstrap analogies.

However I'd like to point out that this site is not "failing"... I voluntarily withdrew from the political scene. As much as it seems to warm your heart that I am not very active anymore, it's a personal decision of mine to channel my energies elsewhere.
I am more pleased with the direction this country seems to be headed than I have in the last 8 years. I no longer feel the need to immerse myself in politics as I once did.
