Winding Down

(ADDED AN EDIT AT THE BOTTOM, 07/09/08, 4:10pm)

For the past 6 years or 7 years, MoxieGrrrl has in one form or another been poking at the ridiculousness of politics. There have been highs and lows, times when I have been on a tear and good and pissed off about something. Months when I have posted up to 6 or 7 times a day.

But I am tired now. I am older. And I am not much wiser. It's all the same shit day after day. Fox News is the worst thing in creation. Our government wants to keep us dumb and fat so they can keep us in line. There were shenanigans on 9/11. Or not. There are too many ignorant idiots voting the wrong people into office. Or not.

I got an email from some anonymous reader this morning, accusing me of censoring my website from opposing views because I have moderation turned on, and for the last fucking time I will state AGAIN that the reason I do is so that a.) porn hucksters don't spam my comments trying to get free advertising and b.) those fools who write 75 pages worth of rambling rants that don't have anything to do with the topic at hand don't waste my comment space or YOUR time trying to scroll through all that shit looking for a real comment. I'm sorry if I was taking away your chances of getting off at FreeSexx69(dot)whatever or reading about how the apocalypse will bring the four horsemen to your doorstep in greater detail than War and Peace. The fact is that there aren't so many opposing view comments simply because I don't update this site like I used to and no longer draw as many readers.

MoxieGrrrl will likely always be here. And to my dear, dear readers, I consider many of you as close a friend as one can get through this here intarwebs. So I'll be here, hanging back in the shadows, waiting for something to get under my skin so I can pop it up here, but it won't be like it was. Mox is getting too old for this shit.

EDIT/UPDATE: Let me add that I reserve the right to change my mind at any time for any reason. At any time, something might just boil my blood and I run straight to my laptop and fire off something particularly nasty and evil. This has happened before, but I did want to put something up so people know where my head is at, so if things end up tapering off, it's not a huge shock.

Also wanted to add that along with the folks who've left such nice comments here, I received a few labeled "not for publication" that I kept private. They were very touching notes, and I wanted to say thank you for sending them. They do mean a great deal to me, and it never ceases to amaze me - just when I think the world is made up of mostly assholes who sit at the computer monitors and anonymously spread negativity because of whatever bug crawled up their ass, fantastically warm, caring, sweet people pop out and let me know they are there too. You guys rock my world.

Well...shucksadoodle!

I scarcely return from clambering out my own abyss only to find our dear Moxie falling into her own!

Still, I understand. Believe me, I really, genuinely do. Don't make me show you the papers to prove it. But even so, it doesn't keep me from wishing I had the words to keep you here more often.

Go rest, Mox. We'll be here if and when you get riled up enough to come back.

And thanks.

Your site has sustained me through one continuous Faux nightmare, two idiots in the white house, all the while reminding me that I am not alone, in how I think, feel, believe. You have made me less alone in this messed up world. I am eterally grateful. Be well. All my best.

Take it from an old geezer (I'll be 55 Sunday) -- it'll come back. The drive and the energy.

So will the enthusiasm.

Dear Readers,
This is a great site, so I decided to post a great comment. Do a Google Search to read "Philip Tickitn vs Central Intelligence Agency" in Arizona. I am the one who filed it, because of 6 years worth of harassment, all because my cousin, Sidney Zabludoff (Google him too) told me 6 months BEFORE the "war" began, that there were NO WMD in Iraq.....That said, because these people would not leave me alone, I find a link between a CIA owned bank in Miami known as the Hamilton Bank, and money sent to the hijackers going to flight school in Arizona. Indeed the FBI "counterterrorism" expert, Agent Kenneth Williams, interviewed me fo over 3 hours....Why? to see how many dots I have connected.
Enjoy!!!

I'll be checking in to see a rant once in a while. Hang in there dear. If McCain "wins" in Nov, I'll be expecting you to take up pitchfork duty in Jersey. Me & Scoobie'll probably be takin' up the pitchforks here in SD.

Cheers, dear.

Whoops! Because I type too fast, the above info should read "Ticktin vs. Central Intelligence Agency". But here is the cut and pasted case:
Philip Ticktin

UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT
DISTRICT OF ARIZONA

PHILIP TICKTIN, an individual ,
PLAINTIFF
vs.
Central Intelligence Agency

DEFENDANTS. )
)
)
)
)
)
)
) No.: CV 08 998 PHX-ECV

Amended Complaint
An action for an order of protection against harassment and to cease and desist.

DIVERSITY
Pursuant to 28 U.S.C., Section 1332, since both Plaintiff and Defendant reside in different states, jurisdiction of the court is based upon diversity and that the respondent is an agency of the Federal Government.
Pursuant to an order of this court, Philip Ticktin, plaintiff, herewith resubmits an amended complaint of May 29th, 2008.
1) that the plaintiff WAS AND REMAINS A TARGET OF HARRASSMENT, INCLUDING WRONGFULL TERMINATION OF HIS MEANS OF EMPLOYMENT and interference of attaining and keeping new employment, which has engendered extreme economic handicap, PHYSICAL ASSAULT AND THREATENING BEHAVIOUR.
2) To wit, in pursuance of this order and as factual support for the claim, find attached several true documents indicating the nature and severity of the matter at hand, referencing the defendant in this action. Other material is available for perusal by this court but it is quite voluminous.
FACTUAL BACKGROUND
Plaintiff worked for 5 years as a salesperson for a fabric company known as Carole Fabrics, a subsidiary of Hunter Douglas Corporation based in the Netherlands. See exhibit “A”, CIA Freedom of Information Act classifying Hunter Douglas by Executive Order 12958. A wrongful termination ensued after which plaintiff was solicited to work for a window covering firm in Florida, known as Vertilux. It was, plaintiff believes, accidentally revealed there that this firm and Hunter Douglas were front Corporations for the Central Intelligence Agency and is actually involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics and money laundering. It develops that Hunter Douglas, Vertilux and every company that has since solicited the plaintiff to work has been protected by Executive order and it appears for a protracted time that the fabric industry has been used as a benign cover for these other activities.
When plaintiff began to file Freedom of Information Acts to investigate what was being done to him, he received a phone call from the National Security Agency. Indeed, this call instigated a years worth of phone call back and forth with the NSA, an agency that rarely speaks to anyone. See exhibit “B”, letter from the National Security Agency acknowledging some of the issues before this court.
The activities of Hunter Douglas and Vertilux were of interest to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I spent several hours in the Phoenix FBI office being interviewed by the counterterrorism expert, Special Agent Kenneth J. Williams. Please see exhibit “C”, agent Williams’ business card.
Agent Williams wrote a 74 page report on Vertilux, but only 63 pages were released to me under FOIA, the rest were withheld as per Executive Order. See exhibit “D”, the first 5 pages of the report.
As a result of the CIA’s activities, my employment and life has been consistently interrupted for the last 6 years, threats have been made, successive offers of employment that are not real labor, assaults, as in an attempt to run plaintiff off the road.
PRAYER FOR RELIEF
Prayer for relief: Plaintiff desires the parties to these actions, as defendants, to cease and desist from such further harassment, and that a Motion of Protection be granted.
This non-economic relief is within the purview of this court to grant, and order thereby.
Respectfully submitted this 12th day of June, 2008

(My first comment here on Moxiegrrrl blog.) I have a comment that has nothing in particular to do with today's topic, but don't know where to put it so will put it here.

One item on the right hand side of the page two thirds of the way down says "Osama bin Laden has been getting away with 9-11 for 2495 days" (2495 as of this writing.) Well, do you know why? It is because FBI, CIA, HS, MI5, Interpol, Mossad, et al. are not even hunting for bin Laden as a suspect in 9-11, that's why. If you don't believe me, go to fbi.gov and pull up bin Laden's file for yourself. He is wanted in relation to some other capers, but not for 9-11, the granddaddy of them all.

Sorry to see you spool down Mox, but one only has so much endurance. Each of us must pick our battles carefully.

I am convinced you will find some reason to fly into a "Rage of Righteous Indignation" in the near future. Opportunities abound for most of us. Will keep checking for volcanic activity.

Thanks for the fun so far!

Hey Mox,

It's summer, the east coast is always hot, humid, nasty. So kick back, go to the shore, have some fun, recharge your batteries.

You're a fighter so I don't see you going away. Anyway the political silly season will be on us hotter and wetter than a Chicago Cubs August swoon and I just don't see you resisting the urge to drop some good snark on it all.

Love your blog - do what you must, but you'll always have fans.

Hey, Moxie
I completely understand. The feeling of being jaded and defeated can only be tolerated for so long. Maybe after the election, we'll all be feeling a bit more hopeful, and you'll get back to writing. Until then, take care.

Bonjour MoxieGirl and everybody,

First, please excuse my poor English. I arrived at your blog in a strange manner. I am a fan of an international blog, "Pourquoi Pas", that has been around for many years, but only 4 years in stand-alone format; before that
they were with Blogger too.

Why I am saying this is: the owner of the blog, "WhyNot", now doesn't have any links at all, but I just found out that his old "blogger" version has some links, and you are one of them. That blog is closed for commenting, but it still exists.

So this is why I am here today, LOL.

Anyway, sorry for the long introduction. I really like what you have to say.

You remind me a little bit of one of PP (Pourquoi Pas) women, she is very outspoken, and does not hesitate to call a spade a shovel. Not that I mean to implicate that you are in the situation as her, but more to explain her background, she is a young illegal immigrant (here, in France) Russian who lives from prostitution.

She is very fiery and I admire her very much, she has lived through such amazing things, and she is so bright even if so young. I'm just a dumb Paris girl with no education, and catholic too, LOL, so it is very interesting for
me. WhyNot made her a co-publisher of PP, and I usually like the articles she posts because they are quite unusual.

Anyway, I like what you say, you remind me of her, and also, when I see your links, Amnesty International especially, I understand why WhyNot had your blog in his links because he is a ferocious Amnesty International adept.

With my time on PP, I have broaden my mind, and I am glad to see there are people like you, especially women, who don't accept the injustices of this world.

I wish you all the best, sincerely.

Valérie

Hi Moxie,
Remember me? I used to visit here quite regularly. I always enjoyed your fire and humor. I got distracted into other venues and what have you, but every once in a while I have always come back just to check in and see how you're doin'.

Sounds like you're doin' fine except for being a might burned out. But them that have the fire, as you do, will always inspire the rest of us even when we don't get to hear you or read you on a regular basis.

Take care of yourself. The world needs you.

Hey, Mox, be seein' you.
