Clinton Hammers Another Nail in Her Own Coffin
Say what you will about Bill fucking it up for her, she did plenty herself to cost her the nomination, and I think this one is way too big to just shake off...
This is Keith Olbermann's opinion on the matter.
I don't believe she meant to do it the way it's come out, but she should have seen this reaction coming 20 miles away. It was a freshman mistake, and proves to me yet again that she is not the right person for the presidency. Such a shame.

Hi moxiegrrrl. Followed a link from C&L to here and was impressed with your slogan. I run a site called Pruning Shears that advocates against the executive power expansion of this era. Hope you get the chance to have a look!
So, I assume an unintentional slip of the tongue now merits a coffin nail?
I think not. Those of us who have occasionally put our foot in our mouths usually find the means to withdraw it, albeit, embarrisingly, just as Hillary has done, by apologizing.
That said, I wonder how Barack is going to respond to the new accusation that his Campaign manager, Axelrod, is a lobbyist, as reported in Newsweek? http://tinyurl.com/3zdqfd
Even BuzzFlash, a 24/7 Hillary Hatred news site found it necessary to publish this commentary:
"David Axelrod Says It Isn't Technically Lobbying, But It Sure is PR Supporting Less Than Progressive Lobbying Goals 5/26"
I'm waitng with baited breath for Barack's explanation: which, I suspect, will be in a form that allows him to escape any responsiblity for blasting McCain for his lobbyist ties, while concealing thaose of his own campaign manager,.
Thanks for this vid, I would have missed it otherwise! I think you were "frist" on this, you even seem to have scooped C&L (they seem to be too busy blogging about Bill "Dawg" Kristol).
Anyway, I do loves me some Olbermann, but I worry he's at risk of becoming a caricature of himself with the foaming-at-the-mouth rant style he seems to have moved into with all his special comments... in fact let's face it he's jumped the shark on that one already. Don't you think if he read these exact same words in a cooler tone a la the real Edward R. Murrow they would have an even greater impact? I think so... and that goes double for his recent SC about, um, golf...
It's easy to accept that Hillary's at the end of a long campaign that proved to be a lot tougher than she counted on, and she's tired and frustrated and that's how something like that could slip out... um, twice... but that's it exactly, when a person starts letting their guard down and letting the real self show, and I guess a lot of people are realizing that it's the real Hillary they're starting to see now, and that that person is just a very scary person...
If that's what they are 'realizing' after this tempest in a teapot, then they are wrong -- and the Obama-bloggers and MSM are to blame.
See today's Politico:
"The truth about what Clinton said — and any fair-minded appraisal of what she meant — was entirely beside the point.
Her comment was news by any standard. But it was only big news when wrested from context and set aflame by a news media more concerned with being interesting and provocative than with being relevant or serious. Thus, the story made the front page of The New York Times, was the lead story of The Washington Post and got prominent treatment on the evening news on ABC, CBS and NBC.
What gives?"
(and, lest you think he's simply commenting...)
"I should say at the outset that I have a pretty good vantage point on this particular case — both as witness of and participant in the echo chamber."
He goes on to show how and why such crap aceives a life of its own, the explanation of which which is quite an eye-opener.

Rather more than a bit of a left-handed apology of sorts to Clinton and her supporters, isn't it?
