Thursday AM News Morsels
Lots to cover in a short amount of time, so here it is, quick and dirty...
McCain, having just announced his intent to run for president, is already having troubles. And if you missed it, Jon Stewart pushed him HARD the other night.
Laura Bush thinks that NO ONE SUFFERS MORE than she and that dipshit she calls a husband. Suffering from DEMENTIA, I guess. Fucking git.
Does Greg Mitchell think he made a fool of himself? Let's go to the tape...
Giuliani becomes psychotic - says that if Dems are elected, we'll get another 9/11, but if Repubs are elected, they will be anticipated and stopped (as if Republicans are psychic or have magical powers that Democrats do not possess). News flash: it's inevitable that we will suffer on our own turf again - sorry to break it to you, but we've pissed off JUST that many more people. If the Dems are elected, the GOP will blame them for it. If the Repubs are elected, they will make excuses as to why it happened... Remember people, they HAD pre-9/11 intel on Bin Laden. And they couldn't even handle dealing with a natural disaster. My personal goal is to see that people OTHER than Bushie lapdogs that got cushie jobs by knowing the right person but not knowing damn one about actually DOING the job (heckuva job, Brownie!) are REMOVED so that if and when something happens, we have someone with a brain in their head to handle it.
Are you KIDDING ME? I had no idea that anti-abortionists were using breast cancer as a scare tactic. Ummm, for the record - study shows NO LINK between abortions and breast cancer.
Off to get ready for work...

Only in Bush's world could a "ginned up" pill freak sit in her marble palace, feeling the suffering of the world while her nails are being done, her butler prepares another martini, and her wardrobe is being pressed for the day.
Only in Bush's world could the ultra rich think their suffering was worse than that parent, spouse or child, whose loved one was just blown up, or about to be blown up.
What a self absorbed "compassionate conservative."

Are you thinking of Sheryl Crow, Courtney Love, or is this some kind of slam on rich moms who live in gated communities in some other "world" beyond Hollywood.
Well, in principle, you're absolutely correct. And I think too the 1960's has some 'splainin' to do--the precursors to today's soccor moms might still have gin, but as you know the acid life and holistic bong barly days didn't do any favors for today's kids either. Kids no doubt much like yourself, unluckily.
What other distractions here?
Oh yes:
Hi Bad Girl.
Charming to the last, Moxie.
How's that again?
I would rather someone was wrapped in the Constitution burning the flag than wrapped in the flag burning the Constitution.
Not to put too fine a point on this, but I think an even better match up would be to have citizens who don't wrap up in anything but clothing, and burn neither flags nor documents of any degree.
Except maybe tax records.
Why do such rough comparisons always involve stark contrasts?
The world dosen't even work like that most of the time....
Hmm--sort of like asking, should people use their cars to hit small boys or use their cars to hit small girls, both being questions for social policy. But flag burning is old hat by now, sweetie.
"Old School".
I prefer myself to ponder the inner sanctum of the oddball commentary at the leftist visual dictionary over at http://www.zombietime.com/ for fun and games. Strong antipsychotics wouldn't hurt some of these unfortunate people either.
Have a blessed day. And be sure to tell Harry Reid we owe him a wonderful debt for making sure safe haven is now established in Iraq for people who put human heads on sticks.
Burn flags? What good is that anyhow. It's what the Supreme Court once suggested might be "facially invalid", as in "your ass and my face"--that kind of problem. Actually a lack of message, is more the issue.
I think a far more productive protest would be to just burn Harry Reid, take a photo of him, and forward the pictures to Al Jazeera. I mean....ummm..CBS, to make sure Al Quiada knows that one of their own chief spokespersons(gender neutral!) has checked out.

Yes, they certainly DID have pre-9/11 intel on Bin Laden. In fact, when the "wanted terrorist" Osama bin Laden was undergoing dialysis in an American hospital in the U.A.E. in summer 2001, a local representative of the C.I.A. met with Bin Laden. The day after Bin Laden left the U.A.E. the C.I.A. agent was recalled to the U.S. for debriefing. Now I wonder what they were talking about?

Bear in mind the fact that in the mainstream media (MSNBC among other outlets), months after appearing in the British press, it was reported that Bush had complete war plans for the invasion of Afghanistan on his desk two days BEFORE 9/11/2001.

Hello!! Do Bush and Cheney have to come out and say it on t.v. that 9/11 was an inside job before you and others admit the truth? How many impossibilities and "coincidences" have to appear regarding 9/11's "official" story before you realize that the administration and its mouthpieces are feeding you a load of bullshit? They didn't "let it happen on purpose", because as I have explained on other occasions that presupposes that the only thing that isn't true about the "official" story is them saying "we had no idea", instead replacing it with "they had warnings and ignored them so as to let it happen". I have shown before how this "argument" is intellectually bankrupt, as it gives the "official" story a pass on its NUMEROUS OUTRIGHT IMPOSSIBILITIES and string of "coincidences" that would have such an infinitesimally small chance of simultaneously occuring that it would be mathematically IMPOSSIBLE for them to be "coincidences".
Moxie, you otherwise have a great blog here, don't get me wrong. But on the 9/11 issue you show a willful disdain for hard, unpalatable facts that is reminiscent of the worst of the Bushistas. Not saying you ARE a closet Bushista, I don't believe that at all, just saying your way of thinking regarding 9/11 shows the same level of deliberate ignoring of facts as they are prone to. Is it psychologically more comforting to think the Cheney administration simply LET 9/11 happen as opposed to MAKING it happen? I ask you, if a person knows the train schedules, and happens upon a vagrant passed out drunk on the railroad tracks, and knows a train is going to come along in 20 minutes, but instead of helping the vagrant off the tracks decides to hide in the bushes to watch him get squished, is that person morally any better than if he had killed the vagrant himself? Of course not. So why the clinging to the impossible LIHOP ("Let It Happen On Purpose") theory Moxie? It really shouldn't be any more comforting than the alternative (read: the truth, that 9/11 was an inside job), yet has the fatal flaw of being as patently impossible as the "official" myth. So please, I beg of you, please let your mind, otherwise apparantly bright and inspiring, open a little further and accept the facts, unpleasant as they are. And I hope you will accept what I have just written in the spirit in which it was intended, as constructive criticism. Either way, the truth is what it is; I never promised it was pleasing or comforting, just true.
lol, inside job.
Stankmak-- Yes, and it's fairly obvious to anyone who takes even a cursory look at the details. The "official" myth doesn't hold water, and neither does the LIHOP limited hangout. Try actually READING and looking into the details of things for yourself instead of doing the "American thing" and blindly accepting the mainstream media excuses out of intellectual laziness or psychological cowardice. You will be surprised at what you discover.
believe it or not i have looked at and read just about everything you have postedin the last year or so about the theories, and i have considered them. however, to me it still would take some blind faith to stick to the claim that it was an inside job. of course there are going to be details that we never know, and shouldnt know, and i am just fine with that, because thats where you and i differ, i have faith in my government as a whole to work to benefit the good of the people.
if thats the "american thing" than you can color me a fucking red white and blue.
