No sooner than I post an apology for being somewhat MIA than I get the urge to post something.
Obviously, a lot has happened.
Valerie Plame testified. Yeah, the wingnuts need their serving of crow, she was covert. Stop trying to make excuses. She was covert and they fucked with her and her husband. Stop trying to use talking points, they FUCKED WITH THEM ON PURPOSE.
Al is in trouble. No, not Al Gore, he's doing just fine and dandy, I mean Al Gonzales. Sure, he feels kinda bad for firing those folks, but I don't think he quite gets the seriousness of the situation. What a fucking tool. Surprise surprise, the White House "hopes" he stays on. What a big HUGE buncha fucking tools.

White House says Rove and Miers can testify. If testify means not being under oath or in front of Congress or anything. Pussies. Wonder what they're hiding? That was a rhetorical question, by the way.

I've had some trouble trying to follow the whole Plame/Scooter (& Rove & Cheney) saga ... it's been a little like watching an opera where you don't speak the language ... but I thought this post over at FDL made a lot of the puzzle pieces fall into place for me.
Anyone who cheats his way into the office to begin with can only have a downward spiral away from the truth.
My question is will the Democrats show some guts and finish Rove off, or will they cower like they have on gthe war?

Funny, doesn't this sound awful familiar to some of you? Remember the 9/11 whitewash commission and the Bush/Cheney conditions they placed on allowing themselves to "testify": Behind closed doors, not under oath, no recording of it, Bush and Cheney together (so they could keep their stories congruent), with their attorneys present.
As Chuck Schumer (sp?) asked "What are they hiding?". A great question. If there is nothing to hide about 9/11 or about this attorney-firing mess, then why the secrecy? Why the refusal to follow standard Congressional testimony procedures? After this administration's record of credibility being about equal to that of the pathological liar character from Saturday Night Live, they expect the American people to just say "OK, we'll take you at your word" ??? If there's nothing to hide, WHY ARE THEY HIDING IT???
