Rainy Wednesday Roundup

Raining cats and dogs here. Thankfully it cleared up long enough for us to enjoy some BBQing and the fireworks, but it's back to the sweltering rainforest.

In the meantime, will the White House be puffing up its chest at North Korea as it did with Iran? Seems like North Korea is way more of a threat than Iran was.

Murray Waas reports that Bush himself directed Cheney to leak the Plame info, but didn't know Cheney would toss it to Scooter to do without going through the proper declassification process. Right.

This is barbarious.

Stop the ACLU publishes a family's information, they are forced to move after town's intimidation tactics put them in fear for their lives. Particularly creepy, a townsperson threatens that one of the family members might 'disappear' like the athiest who got school prayer stopped and who's dismembered body was found years later. Between STACLU and that town, I think I've gotten my fill of ignorant, hate-filled bigots.

A short list, for certain, but I'm off to get some stuff done for now.

PS: Had a Tanqueray (sp?) and Tonic last night for the first time. Oh that's tasty.

That Bush admission is incredible. So, somehow, when he assured reporters that he would punish anybody who had leaked that classified information, he didn't realize that the information he had told Cheney to release, which had been released, which had not been declassified, had been released by Cheney without declassifying it. In other words, his assumption at the time was that Cheney had blown it off and not done anything, while by an amazing coincidence the very same information had been leaked by some unknown person who so loved the administration that he intuited which information they wanted released but didn't have the authority to declassify it, and... excuse me, I can't finish that sentence, I keep laughing too hard to type.

Does ANYONE believe this kind of b***s***?

Yes, unfortunately. The wingnuts on the right keep believing in der fuhrer, I mean dear leader, our very own Preznit. No matter how ridiculous, no matter how much their quality of life deteriorates.

Damn, got the last line wrong (should be "it's not for me"). I'm going to have to learn how to delete a post so I can fix things like that . . .
