I'm sorry and I hope Iqqy reads this so he can just quote El Rushbo again. The VP is completely responsible for shooting his friend. I am an avid shooter and the VP should have been aware of his surroundings. Plain and simple, he was careless.

I've trained with weapons (of minor destruction) fully competent with a C7 (canadian version of the M16) and the first thing you are taught about weapons - is to be aware of your line of sight, and what lies in your path.
This isn't even a political topic worth discussion until they acknowledge that a person was careless with his firearm - and should be held accountable for it.

Pretty sure that was a typo, Moxie . . . Crackpot probably meant pheasants. But there's another typo in there, too (actually, same mistake made twice) . . . a 28 gauge is the preferred for quail. It's a 12 gauge that will leave nothing but feathers & feet, and is used for pheasants.
