Will The Terrorists Attack Dover, PA? Place Yer Bets!
Okay, by now you've heard that Dover, Pennsylvania will feel the wrath of god. If not, here's the scoop:
Okay, now there's word that the GOP is touting terrorist attacks as helping to boost sagging polls.
20:1 odds on the attack being at Dover, PA! LOL!
Conservative Christian televangelist Pat Robertson told citizens of a Pennsylvania town that they had rejected God by voting their school board out of office for supporting "intelligent design" and warned them on Thursday not to be surprised if disaster struck.
Okay, now there's word that the GOP is touting terrorist attacks as helping to boost sagging polls.
A confidential memo circulating among senior Republican leaders suggests that a new attack by terrorists on U.S. soil could reverse the sagging fortunes of President George W. Bush as well as the GOP and "restore his image as a leader of the American people."The closely-guarded memo lays out a list of scenarios to bring the Republican party back from the political brink, including a devastating attack by terrorists that could “validate” the President’s war on terror and allow Bush to “unite the country” in a “time of national shock and sorrow.”

Looks like they're angling for another in-house project.
Last time, over 3000 died. How many this time?
10:1 odds that a "Sheepublican terrorist" attack in the good ol' USA occurs between now and June---LMAO. These war whores will not allow the thoughts and ideas of the American People (Chimpy, we hate you and want you to go away, far, far away; see recent shitty poll numbers) to stop their EEEEvvill agenda.
Why would God be upset about intelligent design being rejected? ID isn't about religion or promoting the Christian religion.
Ooooops! Thank you, Pat Robertson, for making it impossible for anyone to continue to promote intelligent design by officially certifying it as promoting the Christian religion in public schools.
Is this another "faith based initiative" by the party of faith? Praying for a terrorist attack? Kinda gives ya a warm feeling all over to know that the GOP cares so much for the people of their country, doesn't it?
Well, the attack will have to happen sometime before the mid-term elections. If there is no attack, Bush will lose control of the House and Senate. Hopefully the Sheeple will realize that if there IS an attack, it's Bushie's fault and he'll STILL lose control of the House and Senate.
And that's why planning an attack or allowing an attack to occur should only bolster citizen dissatisfaction with the Bush administration - they are the ones that claimed voting for Kerry would be detrimental to the population and that Bush would stop future attacks.
So an attack would only go to show how inept they are. Based on the response after Katrina, the citizens are already worried it will just end up as a free-for-all, survival wise at least.
Haven't the right wingers been going around claiming that the "lefties" want a successful terrorist attack on US soil, and then using that claim to show how "anti-American" and perverse the left is? And now here we have the administration of their hero, Bush, actually saying that they'd like to see an attack on US soil so their poll numbers will go up. It never ceases to amaze me how low this administration can sink.

Actually, the fact that this memo exists is par for the course for this horrid administration and this Republican majority Congress. The fact that the memo was leaked tells me that more and more of the people in the know who have been "loyal", no matter how egregious the Repulican party has become, have just run out of the desire to keep stuff like that under wraps.
Actually, I'm not even certain the memo really exists. There's been no mention of how Capital Hill Blue got ahold of it, nor does there appear to be any further news about it.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it DID exist, however. I just thought between that report and Pat Robertson's asshattery it would give people the giggles for a minute or two.
I'm giggling, somewhat nervously...
This is kinda creepy actually, and I hope some of your readers have a chance to see the link to this video. It's Bill O'reilly and his comments towards the San Fransisco vote about not allowing military recruitment on school campus'.
He says, if you don't want to help us, then when you are attacked by them - you're on your own!
Be in Fear or Fuck Off...

And then I read your story above about Roberston...
What is creepy is that here are 2 right-wing nutz, with high public profiles; that reach out to millions of other soon-to-be nutz, and they both are talking about the same result if you go against them...?
If my math is right, and I read the last part of your post about an internal republikan memo correctly; then I gotta ask this.
Why are religious influences, and cable news guys, both making the same threats, that republicans were told might help raise bushes popularity....?
These guys are seriously getting desperate, and I know as well as you might that when you corner a tiger, they are usually pretty pissed-off; and they are more capable of craziness...
This is getting pretty bad.
Here's another point to add to this discussion, a point that gives me chills. Anyone ever notice how the Bushites have been saying ever since their 9/11 inside job that if "Al Qaeda" [read: Bush & associates] ever attacked America again that this time it would most likely be with a nuclear weapon? I'm thinking low-yield nuke so it looks more "ameteurish", made overseas so it's harder to trace as opposed to uranium coming straight out of Oak Ridge, in a van or semi truck, at some large gathering (like a football game, basketball game etc.) in a Blue state so they don't end up killing off brainless sheep who vote Republican, sometime before the midterm elections, for the purpose of giving Bush another "rally 'round the flag" moment and helping the Republinazis in the midterms. We all know these shitbags have no qualms whatsoever about killing thousands to advance a political agenda and they just might feel like they have nothing to lose now, especially since most Americans bought their 9/11 fairy tale hook, line & sinker. Just my two pfennigs on the matter.
