GEORGE BUSH MAKES VERY IMPortant speech to...zzzzzzzzzz

Woah, did I fall asleep there?

Must have been because he isn't saying ANYTHING WE HAVEN'T HEARD BEFORE??? Allow me to paraphrase:

September 11th... extreme radicals... al Qaeda... evil men... terrorism...

There. I summed it all up for ya.

Oh, and he said this:

Today there are more than 80 Iraqi army battalions fighting the insurgency alongside our forces.

For all you Daily Show viewers, you know this to be blatently false (would that constitute a "lie"?), according to the people who would ACTUALLY KNOW how many army battilions there would be. For a reminder, let's roll that beautiful bean footage!

Yes kids, Bush LIED. Again. To our faces.

Just remember who backed this asshole when it comes time to vote.

UPDATE: Yellow Dog pointed out and I concede that because he says 80 battilions are fighting "alongside" our forces and the testimony on the video is that only ONE battilion is capable of fighting independently, Bush didn't lie - THAT time. Arianne Huffington, however, takes a closer look at the numbers, where Bush changes from "over 100 battilions" to "over 80 battilions" in a matter of days. Interesting...

80 - 1 = 79. Bush was close. He was only off by 98 or 99% so he wasn't lying he was just a little...off.

Actually, not a lie. It's a language parsing.

He says there are 80 battalions able to fight ALONGSIDE our soldiers.

The general said that there were 3 and are now only one Iraqi battalion(s) capable of fighting on their own without American support.

Still, the intent was to deceive the American people which -- at least in the Christianity I grew up in -- is still a sin.

Good catch, I suppose you're right. He wasn't lying. He was just trying to con people into thinking they're doing better than they are.

battalion = 1 headquarters + 3 companies
Company/Troop/Battery
60-200 Personnel= 130 Avg.

1 Battalion= 390 Personnel
80 Battalions= 31,200 Troops

See how "Loose" the Definition is?

Their Goal is 200,000 Troops

Also, Stewart is asking the questions (filling in) and then Stewart plays the "response"

Why is this edited; in this manner?

Because the Question was different or out of context?

Because Stewart is ONLY a Hollywood comedian and a attention whore?

The Majority of the Senate believed WMD's
The Majority of the Senate Voted to Invading Iraq.

Based on BAD INTEL that could have AND SHOULD HAVE been checked for accuracy before declaring WAR where people will be KILLED.

Daily Show played the portion of the tape that was relevant to the topic - he's not going to sit there and let the whole testimony play out on a half hour show. The fact is they said they had MORE battilions ready back in July, and now they have LESS.

The fact is, this administration sucks.

Actually.. No.

The Majority of the Senate voted that Bush could use necessary force after inspections.

The inspections never happened.

Hence the war is ILLEGAL.

DUMBASS!

If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

Moxie...you're slipping. You need to include "killers" in the summary.
