Finally, The Rest of What's Going On
Got so wrapped up in the abnormally long Cindy Sheehan bruhaha that I didn't have adequate time to take a look at what else is happening.
Jack Abramoff has been indicted for committing fraud and showed up in court today. Abramoff, you'll remember, has close ties to that pillar of ethics, Tom DeLay.
Pentagon officials are tightening their sphincters over the thought of further release of photographs and videotapes made at Abu Ghraib.
Geez, I wonder what could possibly be in those photos and on those videos that would get insurgents even MORE riled up than they have been. Maybe it's just that all low-ranking officials have gotten raked over the coals and no one higher has taken responsibility. Because I'm sure NO ONE knew what was going on there at all.
Oh, and I almost forgot - Tucker Carlson is a terrorist. He supports terrorists, therefore he must also BE one.

The six-count federal indictment unsealed in Fort Lauderdale alleges that Abramoff, 40, and a partner, Adam Kidan, 36, of New York, faked a $23 million wire transfer to defraud two lenders out of some $60 million to finance the $147 million purchase of SunCruz Casinos from Konstantinos "Gus" Boulis in September 2000.
The deal ultimately collapsed and Boulis, 51, was killed five months later in an apparent hit. The shooting is unsolved...
Abramoff is also under investigation for his lobbying activities on behalf of Indian tribes and for his role in paying for overseas trips for DeLay. The Texas Republican has denied knowing Abramoff paid the expenses.

Senior Pentagon officials have opposed the release of photographs and videotapes of the abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, arguing that they would incite public opinion in the Muslim world and put the lives of American soldiers and officials at risk, according to documents unsealed in federal court in New York.
Gen. Richard B. Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a statement put forth to support the Pentagon's case that he believed that "riots, violence and attacks by insurgents will result" if the images were released.

Ha hahahehehe. Poor poor Tucker. The little bowtied excuse for a grown man. 1st he is fired from CNN for losing bigtime face to Jon Stewart. Now his low rated show is about to be cut down to a half hour and put onto a late night schedule, opposite guess what?
The Daily Show! Hahahahehe. His show is gonna get crushed. BTW - When Capt. Kangaroo was removed and replaced with CBS Early Morning News is when America starting going down hill. Peace to all. To Shut up or join up - Cindy Sheehan says that she will stay until the end of Bush's vac.(aug 31) then she is going on to DC. I'll be there. I hope you will to. I would like to talk to you about a better approach. Anyways just goes to the counter demonstrators and I will hone in on you by your voice. I'm sure I know what you will be yelling at them.

I'm a Pennsylvanian. I will be there with Cindy. I've been to 4 Anti - American -Iraq War Dems down there. The more the merrier. I hope you can come. Your from NJ right? Which exit? ok just kidding. If you do go you can recon me - fat 43yo white guy with a baby. I'll be wearing my "Bring Home The Troops" "Oct. 2004 March on Washington" T shirt. No funny stuff. A handshake will do. If you have not been to one it is inspiring and empowering. The last one we marched to Rummys house. Mr. Berg father of Nick was there leading the March. It was a honor to back him up. If we are not attacked again ala 911 I think we may have a chance to reclaim our republic.
I'll close with the chant we often sing during the marches "THE PEOPLE UNITED CAN NEVER BE DEFEATED"

When she gets her duty transfer to DC I will join her. In the Press Video www.truthout.org/cindy.shtml she states that she will follow Bush there. I'm a 89 mi drive away. Of courrse I will be there. At other Demos there was always at least 1 baby brigade. Nothing like a bunch of babr strollers rolling abreast. I was always jellyous of that. Now I can join. And since my boy is the cutest baby ever the other parents have a chance to be jellyous. You can come Jersey Girl. You can't be that far away from DC. Heck you can cross your state in about 15 min. Just kidding. I drove to LBI and the drive from the Toll Bridge(Washington I think it is called) from MD. took forever. Who the freak Knew that NJ had miles of woods called the Pine Barrens. Okay millions. But I didn't.
Anyways come on down to DC in September. I'll be there with Cindy and a whole bunch of fine people. Things are getting together on this. Some people see no other way than Non Violent protest. This baby is gonna grow and just 1 more voice could be the deal breaker. Plus we need lots of Women there and Middleaged men. Just our presence has a calming effect on the younguns, as enthusiastic as they always are. Plus the exercise is great. I'll get a chance to walk off a few lbs. that sticking to my fat blogging butt.
