Looks like they're playing who wants to make a deal. . .too bad they couldn't do that with the "sovereignty" issues that keep up from capturing Osama Bin Laden.
It is possible to that they want to make a deal.
This way both sides of our House can back off a bit, and do what ever they do.

I think things will “cool” down, both sides want to enjoy their summer vacation without being accused of leaving DC in a time of conflict.

it is hugely annoying that Bush ran as a DC "outsider" when his father was director of the CIA and, uh, POTUS and his brother is governor. And he went to Andover. And Yale. And Havard. Kerry had almost the same academic resume.
They're all some variation of Anglican.
And for all their fire and brimstone, they're all going to the same barbeques and cotillions. And I know I haven't been invited.
Although, I don't think the founding fathers had a huge concern about this, as they were pretty good at it themselves. The Adamses for example.
As far as the hiltons and the osbournes and the gottis...people CAN turn off the TV. The public makes them stars. "People" and "US" certainly don't help. And lord knows I love my Black Sabbath.
I hate the Republican and Democrat party alike (however I tend to side with Rep. despite the fact that they are corrupt money hoarding pieces of crap)but what I hate most is how the Dems love to bitch, whine, and complain about everything under the sun, yet never offer any feasable or realistic soulution to the problem. OK folks, heres the main problem; Money. As soon as you, I, and us, figure out a way to get money out of the picture (which I never foresee happening) things will never get better. I view the human race as a cancer to the planet earth, and the earth will either cleanse itself of us or we will manage to remove ourselves. Sad but true, may God have mercy on us all.
