Saddam Linked to 9/11???

Have IQs in DC dropped sharply, or are they under the impression OUR IQs have dropped sharply?

GOP lawmaker: Saddam linked to 9/11
N.C. representative says 'evidence is clear'

A Republican congressman from North Carolina told CNN on Wednesday that the "evidence is clear" that Iraq was involved in the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001.

"Saddam Hussein and people like him were very much involved in 9/11," Rep. Robin Hayes said.

Told no investigation had ever found evidence to link Saddam and 9/11, Hayes responded, "I'm sorry, but you must have looked in the wrong places."

Hayes is the vice chairman of the House subcommittee on terrorism! HELLO!!?!!

BUSH HIMSELF STATED that "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the 11 September attacks." Did evidence sudedenly surface that we are unaware of? Where IS this evidence? If you're gonna make such a bold statement, back it up. Come on, DEFINE YOUR SOURCE.

I DECLARE SHENANNIGANS! This is getting fucking retarded.

Let's give this woman a little respect. North Carolina is a little behind the times.

I understand "The Macarena" is HUGE there. Also, they still lead America in Smokers Rights for Class Rooms and Maternity Wards.

Oh dear, you're right! I'm so sorry! It's not like she's an elected official or anything. ;)

Par for the course, sadly.

Disinformation and misinformation have become tactics used consistently and continuously by this administration. All politicians lie -- Clinton and Kerry lie and distort the same as anyone else -- but these Republicans in the White House have taken things to a whole new level. Only countries with dictators or half-assed democracies or that are in the third-world have seen this level of secrecy and lying on issues of national concern.

It's disgusting.

What perfect timing Moxie. This very topic is the first subject in the FAQ I just posted.

Oh, and I did define my sources

I visited this guys website. Now I agree with Brash that touting your own accomplishments is important.

(VISIT www.crackpotpress.com, our readers now outnumber our writers)

But this ROBIN HAYES lists his "recent" accomplishments. FIVE in the last six months--Most recent APRIL. One of which was a Vote to "Keep the Boyscouts!"

How is voting FOR KEEPING the Boyscouts a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT!

If this guy wants to bring NC into the 20th Century...He's got to self promote just a bit more... or least try.

Oh wait, I didn't know who he was yesterday and now, through his bafoonery, I do.

Back in my cave with me.

A majority of our House, Senate and World leaders supported taking out Saddam.
Iraq was a clearing house of terror
Hindsight is always 20/20

John, they supported it because they were lied to about the immenent threat it was. Why is this so difficult to understand? So much evidence has come to light that Bush had been wanting to pick a fight, he was determined to invade and he used flimsy intel from a shady source to do it.

Sorry I don't buy this.
CIA and other Nations Secret Operations may have been spoofed.
The information was fed to our House. They were Democrats and Repulicans.
Even the World Press bought this.
We cant come back and point fingers.
We as a Nation spilled the milk.
Let's get over it and do the best we can.

"Saddam Hussein and people like him were very much involved in 9/11,"

If by this statement she meant people like Saddam Hussein as in Arabs and Muslims were involved in 9/11 then she's absolutely correct.

And if by involved in 9/11 she meant glad that it happened then once again she's right.

What? Why are you looking at me like that?

Okay let's take the Repub Scenario...

Everyone was given bad intelligence from the CIA.

After it is determined that that this info is wrong we shrugh it off "Okay, we made a mistake but now we have to 'Free the Iraqis'"

We're there already, just like the rest of PFC Smith's leg.

George Tennant resigns for giving Bad Information.

The why the hell did Bush give Tennant the MEdal of Honor.... "For supplying us with the information we needed to go to Iraq?"

In other news, my house smells like Salmon for some reason... and not in the good way.

Gee, I love when politicians just don't have the brains or the consiteration to be Politically correct.

That small fragment of his statememt is enough to knock his credability down to a rag-mag level.

The trouble with W, Rove and Co is this: If you can't trust them to tell you the truth when it is important, can you believe them when they say something you think is right?
