Where Are Those "Culture of Lifers" Now?

Crossposted at Suburban Nomad.

Iraqi children are being exposed to deadly - and preventable - diseases because of contaminated water.

"Our people are drinking water either directly from rivers or wells, even the so-called treated water or clean water is not actually clean," says Mr Misocni.

"It is contaminated with sewage water."

And that means children, in particular, are getting sick.

Where are all the protestors who stood outside Terri Schiavo's hospital wailing about how she's being murdered? Are they now standing outside town halls, governor's mansions and the White House wailing about this issue? Doubtful. The dying aren't white women in consistent states of vegitation. Or they just live too far away and who cares about Iraqi children anyway, right?

Just making a point.

Oh, they are not real "culture of lifers." No way. These people are actually pretty comfy with the idea of people dying. They like the death penalty after all, and don't really give a care about the Iraqi's drinking dirty water.

These people believe in the culture of the Republican Party. And they are going to do whatever these sorry excuses for politicians say. After all, they voted these guys in.

More kids died during the Iraq sanctions that did at Hiroshima. So no, I don't think they'll be doing much rallying over feces contaminated water. Watching your child died with a belly full of worms is a small price to pay for freedom, after all.

You were right the first time, nobody in this country gives a damn unless white women are the ones suffering. The darker you are the less chance you have of actually being helped by this country...or unless you're Russian.

Hey. They care, but it is a small price to pay for the sense of security from WMD and killing terrorists on their own soil rather than here in the good ol' U. S of A....

Oops..now just back up a sec...did I just type WMD? Hold on a minute...have we found any WMD in Iraq? What about our own domestic terrorists?

It's the blind allegiance to W, Rove and Co...helping the rich get wealthier and pushing their reichwing agenda that matters more. No doubt, there aren't any republican religious functions where they all say a prayer for the innocents killed in Iraq.

It makes the behavior over Terri that more outrageous.

I posted an interesting video clip on my blog a day or two ago that y'all might like to link up and watch:

The same people who stood outside protesting Terri Shiavo's death are now standing outside of GWB's building congratulating him for his triumph in Iraq. You know, because it was such a good move.
