More Delays for DeLay

The Dems are showing backbones by continuing to reject Republican offers to investigate Tom DeLay's activities because of their "rules" of the investigation.

The primary objection is to a rule that would automatically dismiss cases in a tie vote -- allowing either party on the evenly divided committee to stop an investigation.

That is the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. There's 5 Dems and 5 Repubs each on the committee and they want to dismiss cases where there is a tie? That should be AUTOMATICALLY investigated. Why are there "rules" for an investigation? If there is an investigation of someone's ethical practices, there is no need for "rules." Your life gets put under the microscope, end of story.

Sounds to me like there's an awful lot being hidden here. I wonder what else we haven't yet heard about...

Gotta love politicians. They look out for #1 first. Public accountabilitiy is for mere mortals and the poor schmucks the throw at us when we get a bit noisy. What's needed is a revolution. Haul out a few politicians and just shoot them. That ought to get some attention. (Works for other countries.)
