It's starting to come out of the woodwork, people. The payola scandal is gaining momentum, and reporters are finally doing their jobs. They are finally reporting that the Bush administration is using OUR TAX DOLLARS to decieve us. At first the story of Karen Ryan was an "isolated case," then when Armstrong Williams and Maggie Gallagher pop up, the prez sez "We didn't know about this at the White House." Except that they DID know about it...
The Government Accountability Office, according to published reports, has at least two investigations under way dating to last year. It has already ruled that this kind of "covert propaganda" is ILLEGAL.
Carol Marin wrote this plain-English article pointing out the asshattery of journalists for laying down at Bush's feet. She's saying what Bartcop, Joe Conason, DailyKos and all the rest of us who have been growling and snarling at the packs of jokers standing around letting Americans get raped by Captain Happypants and his team of pondscum.
Republicans got Clinton IMPEACHED OVER LIE ABOUT A BLOWJOB. They all cried foul and acted outraged by the mere thought of the President of the United States lying about getting it on with an intern. Yet we now have SOLID PROOF that the president and his people have LIED to the faces of our citizens and the rest of the world and NO ONE DOES ANYTHING. Democrats take it lying down, the press takes it lying down, OVER HALF OF AMERICA take it lying down.
