CONTROL ROOM

I was on the phone with my mom today, who told me she caught a documentary called "Control Room" that was thoroughly depressing. She remarked how during the film, reporters would be flabberghasted at the bullshit Bush and his team were spouting and were sure the American people would see right through him, then watch in utter horror when Americans said and did nothing. She mentioned how the tearing down of Hussein's statue was totally staged - all the participants were young men with dialects not common in that area. The statue was located in an area surrounded by housing, and none of them ventured out.

Children did not cheer the soldiers as they drove by, they screamed "K*ll Bush" (changing it so I don't have the secret service up my ass).

I am trying to hunt down a copy of the documentary. My mom saw it on the Sundance Channel, and I only have basic cable. I'd really like to see it.

EDIT: Sweet! Found some used copies on Amazon! I love the internet.
